CONTROLLING SMART HOME USING HAND GESTURE RECOGNITION SYSTEM
Through the advancement of today’s technologies, the uses of smart homes are now in general. Controlling smart home appliances are often used through remote control such as wireless or sensors. In this project, smart home appliances are designed which can be monitored by the hand gesture recognition system. It uses real-time hand tracking and creates different gestures to execute different commands. Hand gestures can be detected under different light conditions and backgrounds. This recognition system also will not be using a webcam but using AIY Vision kit’s Pi camera, and the smart home’s microcontroller will be using Microbit. Therefore, the integration between this camera and smart home will be also discussed.
